House With Separate Staircase Made For Small Dogs

Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome House With Separate Staircase Made For Small Dogs

dog-stairs-1.jpg This is a house in Vietnam designed by architecture firm 07Beach with a separate set of stairs made especially for small dogs so they don't have to tackle the regular sized stairs. Some people really care about their pets. Other people walk their dogs and pretend to be texting while they know good and well their dog is shitting in my yard. Those people do not care about their pets because good pet ownership involves RESPONSIBILITY. You don't get to ignore the parts you don't like. "Whatever, you let your dog shit in my yard." That is not my dog's. I also pee in your pool at night. Keep going for a couple more shots.

Here's A Bartolo Colon GIF To Brighten Up Your Friday

Clayton Kershaw rolled into Queens last night and took a katana to the Mets’ lineup, striking out 11 and allowing just three hits in nine shutout innings. But whatever, the real star of the show (as usual) was Bartolo Colon.

Malaysian sate set to open at 1837 E. Passyunk Ave.

We already have plenty of good food options on East Passyunk Avenue, so why not add some more unique cuisine to the lineup? That’s where Sate Kampar comes in.  This new restaurant is a Malaysian sate, set to open at 1837 E. Passyunk Ave. in the Bottle Shop’s former location. The restaurant’s name comes from owner Angelina Branca’s […]

Marvel Superheroes Reimagined As Different Dog Breeds

marvel-superhero-dogs-5.jpg This is a whole series of Marvel superheroes and villains reimagined as different dog breeds by artist Josh Lynch. I could really go for that Doberman Ghost Rider. I feel like if your dog's head is on fire nobody is really going to yell at you to pick up after it shits in their yard. But just for the record I would always pick up after it because 1. I'm a responsible pet owner and 2. you better believe those turds are already gonna be flaming and just itching to get thrown at somebody's door. And yes, turds can itch for things. Keep going for fourteen more.

Video Of Guy Trying To Ignite Different Types Of Fuel

burning-fuels.jpg This is a fascinating video of Curtis from Just Think trying to light different kinds of liquid fuel on fire. Specifically: jet fuel, diesel, heating oil, kerosene, light aircraft fuel, gasoline and butane. He first tries to drop a match in the top of each jar, then ignite the fuels with a butane torch, and finally atomizes some fuel with a hand sprayer and lights it. I learned a lot. Mostly about bravery. Keep going for the video, then don't be so afraid of gasoline. You know you like the smell. If I could marry gasoline I would at least move in together and see if we could work.

NoWait Tells You the Wait Time at Nearby Restaurants

NoWait Tells You the Wait Time at Nearby Restaurants

iOS/Android: No one likes standing around to wait for a table. You’re hungry and bored, and if you head to a different place, there may be an even longer wait. This free app alleviates some of that frustration by telling you the wait times of nearby eateries.

NoWait uses your location to map out nearby establishments, then it simply tells you how long you can expect to wait for a table. The app asks for your phone number, but you can also skip this step and just look at the list or map of restaurants. If you do give your phone number, you can also use the app to communicate with a handful of restaurants to claim a place in line.

Of course, in order to work, these restaurants have to use NoWait’s service. So it can be hit or miss, but a number of big chains use them: Buffalo Wild Wings, Chili’s and and Friday’s to name a few. The app has thousands of other chain and independent restaurants in their directory, and they’re expanding.

I was surprised at how many restaurants were included in my area, but I should point out that not every restaurant near me was included. Again, it can be hit or miss, and your mileage may vary depending on your location. But with so many partners, it’s a useful app.

In their privacy policy, they do say they collect information about how you use the app. Here’s how they say they use that info:

We use the information that you provide us to: fulfill transactions; operate the Service; respond to your requests; improve our Service, and; communicate with you. We DO NOT sell your PII to third parties or mass marketers. Unless you consent to the disclosure of your PII, only NoWait and our affiliates, technical consultants, third-party administrators and other third parties who make our Service available, enhance its functionality, or provide associated services, have access to this information.

You can read the rest of the policy here. And to try it out for yourself, head to the links below.

Minor League Team Finally Explains Why It Apologized For Corey Feldman

Minor league promotions are a mixed bag. For every gloriously bizarre event like “bring your badger to the ballpark” or whatever, there’s a 4-H Night or a grass giveaway or a sad appearance by a washed-up celebrity. Sunday’s appearance by Corey Feldman at the State College (Penn.) Spikes appeared to fall into the “boring” category, but it attained an air of mystery after the team issued an apology—but for what exactly, it wouldn’t say.

Vin Diesel's Dungeons & Dragons Birthday Cake

vin-diesel-dungeons-and-dragons-cake.jpg This is a shot of the Dungeons & Dragons themed cake made for Vin Diesel's 48th birthday over the weekend. For those of you who don't have a crush on Vin and have Fast & Furious posters hanging above your bed, Vin Diesel is a big Dungeons and Dragons fan. Me? I am a big fan of Vin. I am a Vinatic. That's what Vin Diesel superfans call themselves. Just kidding, I only liked Vin Diesel for one afternoon when I mistook him for The Rock. Thanks to Alaska, hands down one of my favorite countries.
