Foobooz Philadelphia Dogfish Brewing Opens Its Own Inn
Dogfish Head Brewery has set an opening date for their first inn: July 1st. The Dogfish Inn in Lewes, Delaware will include 15 rooms and one two-bedroom suite. Rates are expected to start at mid- to high- $200s and rise to $595 for the suite.
The inn has Posturepedic beds and some Dogfish Head apparel, but there are a few things you're going to want to bring: your pup (the inn is dog-friendly) and the beer (Sam Calagione, owner of Dogfish Head, won't be serving up any alcohol or food). You can leave the bottle opener at home though because the walls have mounted ones.
And if you're interested in staying in the suite – called the Sweet! – you'll enjoy the luxuries of two king sized beds, a small kitchenette and, most importantly, awesome toilet seat covers.
Starting this today, June 27th, the inn will be taking reservations. To book your stay, visit online or call (302) 644-8292.
For more on the Dogfish Inn, check out this Delaware Online article.

The humble apple corer is great for… well… coring apples. But you can also use this handy kitchen tool to transform watermelon into a mess-free finger food.
Instructables user openproducts shows us how to create attractive nibbles from a variety of fruit, including watermelon.
A watermelon gives a really nice result because the rind can be cut out as well, resulting in a layered color pattern as can be seen in some of the pictures.
The cumulative mass of the sticks amounts to approximately 70% of the initial weight on the watermelon slice (dependent on the space that is left in between the holes). The leftover part with the holes is perfectly fit for human consumption: don't waste it.
Leave the rinds attached if you want something to hold onto, or chop it off for a more uniform color. There is quite a lot of work involved for personal fruit consumption, but it's a great way to make an impression at a party.

The Amazon Appstore already gives away one free app each day, but now it's gone and decided to give away 30 apps, worth a combined total of $100, for free to anyone with an Android phone. Here are the pick of the bunch that you should download first.
The "Epic Summer App Bundle" giveaway is only on today and tomorrow, so you should grab them while you can. Head to the bottom of the page if you need to know how to get the Amazon Appstore on your phone (remember, this isn't Fire specific—anyone using Android can take advantage).

Deadspin Adrian Beltre Gets 2,500th Hit, Unwanted Head Touching
Adrian Beltre collected his 2,500th hit in Tuesday night's game against the Tigers. (That's pretty impressive! He's only the seventh third baseman to reach the mark.) Miguel Cabrera was at first base to give him the ball and a quick touch on the head. Beltre, a man who hates having his head touched, did not appreciate it.

There's plenty to mock about the leaders of the dude-food movement—Fieri, Zimmern, the Epic Meal Timers—and their bag-tag army of regular doofs united by pork-themed t-shirts and their exaggerated disdain for small plates and Whole Foods. But we're not here to make fun of their indoor sunglasses or their spicy bourboñero-glazed goatees. We're here to protest their implied contempt for M&M's.

Gizmodo Famous characters look more badass with cool beards on them
Vanja Mrgan has imagined what different famous characters would look like with beards. From Robocop to He-Man to Batman to Wario to Popeye to Porky Pig to Boba Fett to Snoo—Reddit's alien mascot—they all look quite cool. Some even better than the real thing (like Popeye, Wario, and even Batman!)

Gizmodo The 1983 Punk Rock Record With a Digital Music Video For a B-Side
The B-side of Chris Sievey's 1983 single "Camouflage" sounds like an unlistenable malestrom of electronic noise. It's not an avant-garde song; it's a program for the ZX-81 computer, and if you could load it correctly, it gave you a (very rudimentary) computer-animated music video to go with the song. It's like an ASCII easter egg.

Lifehacker The Easiest, Safest Way to Slice a Mango
A ripe, fresh mango is a delicious summertime treat, but slicing one into cubes for easy snacking can be difficult. We've talked about ways to nail this before, but the ever-industious Alton Brown has a different method—one that looks to us to be a bit safer than most.
The video above, while hilarious, does point out some of the flaws with other common methods, like the "slice off the sides and cut a grid, then fan it out" method, and the "peel first then slice" method—he combines the two by peeling the mango, but leaving a spot of peel on either side you can use as a grip. Then you can hold the mango firmly while you slice down around the mango pit and get evenly sliced bits of fruit. Then you can peel away the last little bit of skin, dice as you see fit, and you don't have to lose any of the flesh.
It's simple, fast, and most importantly, safe. Hit the video above to see how he does it, or the link below to head over to his site for a step-by-step.

The Nerdist David Wain Confirms WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER Prequel
In the month since Netflix hinted that they might be interested in resurrecting Wet Hot American Summer as a miniseries, we've been waiting for more details about the absurd summer camp comedy.
While on Late Night with Seth Meyers discussing his latest project, They Came Together, director and The State alum David Wain laid out some of the details for the comedy prequel:
"It's one of those crazy things where the movie didn't do well when it came out," Wain told Meyers. "Now we're going to do a prequel where it was the same actors who were 30 playing 16-year-olds then, now they're going to be in their mid-40s, also still playing 16."
The series would take place two months before the events of the 2001 film, which served as a kind of de facto reunion for members of the comedy troupe The State. Fellow members Michael Showalter (who wrote the script) joined Wain, Ken Marino, Michael Ian Black, and Joe Lo Truglio in the comedy which took place over the span of one day at a summer camp in the 1980s.
At this point, no one has confirmed the format of Netflix production, although it's been indicated that it would be a series. That's an interesting choice for this particular project, plus if the entire cast is returning, it would require wrangling the very busy schedules of actors who've gotten pretty famous in the last decade and change (an issue which affected the production of the fourth Arrested Development season).
If Netflix is going to throw money at beloved early '00s cult comedies, here's hoping someone there is really fond of Super Troopers because I think I could love me some Super Troopers as a miniseries.
